Welcome to 6th.org.uk, a dedicated site to WW2 history
Hello and welcome to 6th.org.uk We have decided to start a website detailing historic events from the British perspective in WW2. The idea has come from the small amount of history that we have written on the (>6th<) Airborne clan site and a few like minded people.
If you have any questions please submit them in the forum.

Sad NewsIt is with sadness and regret that i inform you that Denis Edwards died on the 20th May 2008. He provided articles for this website during 2004 and 2005. He also acted as correspondent to the known Coup de Main survivors. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Update: 25th June 2004Denis Edwards (Sniper, with the 6th Airborne on D-Day) has allowed us to use extracts from his book on the website. He has also provided us with stories from WW2 which I have added to the 6th Airborne Stories section. At this stage I would like to thank 'tinsodier' and 'colonel nicholson' for the articles so far. 'oddball' has asked if he can write an article on Bletchley Park (Station X) and because I think an area dedicated to the SOE would be beneficial I have said he can. If you would like to write an article please email me This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with what you would like to contribute with and I am sure I will say yes. This is just to avoid duplication of articles. In the near future all 'approved' writers will be able to submit directly to the site (when I have figured out the coding ;) ). Thank you all for visiting, and check back.
